THE MAQLU, or burning, of ancient Babylon.

Thursdays at 7PM ET in July and August 2022.

We live in a world possessing consciousness, from the stones under our feet to the elements, plants, and animals around us. We are a part of this spiritual cosmos, but not at its center, and we are subject to the ebb and flow of all beings.

Exorcists in Babylon were spiritual mystics who saw the world as a balanced natural order, living as sorcerers who navigated good and evil forces among all living creatures.

These magicians were mystics that called themselves sorcerer priests, and recorded their exorcism prayers and ritual. They worked in tandem with the Gods and elements to classify, diagnose, remove and ultimately destroy the ailments of those in need.

Even now, magical wisdom seekers still search for protection from the Evil Eye, hexes, and vengeful jinn. In Arabic, the term majnun, or madman, comes from the root jinn. In this worldview, our burdens possess us, and illness is related to the concept of inner demons.

The subject matters of these classes will range from Ancient Babylonian mythology, demonology of Babylon and of medieval Islam (a coverage of the noble Jinn), connection to sacred tools, herbology, and end with practical protection and exorcism procedures. We will end the class with a collective online fire ceremony among students.

These classes are for healers, witches, and any who would like to work with mystical wisdom of the ancients of Babylon (as well as their neighbors the Canaanites and Semites). We will delve deep into the incantations of the ancients and empower ourselves.

This course is an online educational lecture and magical ceremony series held on Zoom. All workshops will be recorded and available at a private link to paid participants.
